Purity of love

Awwww, at last, I can finally show all of you where probably around month and half of my inspiration and life XD went! I am so so happy with this, I really can feel level of my art just upped while I worked on it!

This is my entry for sweet Jordan's ( MisterMya's) contest:

Contest Deadline Extended!The contest has officially started. The deadline is now the 29th of November 2013!29th of Decemeber!
I added an extra month to the deadline as a lot of people have been requesting it.
Furthermore I may be lowering the prizes to entice more competitors. Offering $300 for a prize was supposed to draw out high quality art from some bigger names, however it was pointed out that those people would probably rather draw a few commissions and definitely be paid for it, that risk spending a long time on a work that might not win. 
This however is a maybe. And not set in stone just yet.
Everything else in this journal remains the same so if you've read it already, there's no need to keep going ^w
(For everyone who has read this journal before, all the details are the same, except I've added Alexander's Reference Sheet below, FAQ's and one more acceptable theme)

I knew some people would hand their entry in late as they always do, so I secretly extended the deadline by a few days myahaha >w<
Unfortunately I did have to extend the contest multiple times and lower the prize money due to a lack of interest. That being said, I did get some lovely entries near the end. Giving me the part which I hate >w< Deciding the winners. AHHHHHHHHHHHHH, so many good entries >w<
If you read the other journal at any point, I lowered the prize money to attract more entries.
However I am still offering all the side prizes. Which I will start with >w<

The two characters are from his graphic novel in progress, 'La Pureté de L'amour', set in Cybernetic Renaissance. They are called Alexander and Cleo. You can find synopsis of their story on the contest journal, and shortly summed up, Alexander is smart, good and righteous person who seeks to expand his business and erase the recently seething criminal underworld, while Cleo is a girl he found alone and starving on the side of road whilst driving once. Alexander promised shelter and treatment for Cleo, who was dying of cancer, in exchange for her service as a housemaid, and a little at a time, love grows between them  and they fall in love <3

For my entry, I have choose first theme, representing of them in their original design, not as cosplay. I really love these two, and on this work, I tried to convey the feelings they have for each other, and growth of their relationship through time.
I drew:
-First person in clouds, imagined like a mix between the two. It is that spirit I tried to capture, representing how they are two parts of one whole.
- Then, there are two of them on the heart shaped iceberg, where I wanted to show their beginning - Alex saving Cleo, both shown in their original clothing design. Idea for the heart they are on, I got from the lovely work of marvelous  DestinyBlue, *Our depth*: destinyblue.deviantart.com/art… I was specially inspired by the sentence in description * Only islands on the surface, but it goes so much deeper*, I think it sums up the work so beautifully!
- What I drew then,  are two of them in the water. Those two are being  transiting between the upper couple on the surface, and two of them in the bottom,  representing the middle of their relationship, when she was his housemaid and he was her master. That's why I took some freedom to, while painting Alex in his clothes, make a victorian kind of maiden clothes for Cleo, to represent her role.
- Then, there's  the very bottom. After their  meeting, and after spending time in job relationship, third representation shows them in a time while they fall in love with each other, um.. cuddling. Once again, I took freedom to design Cleo's outfit a bit differently, as she's um, in the bed, and as I figured she wouldn't sleep in her clothes, I gave her a light silky nightgown.. As for him, well... He's covered, so I give you the artistic freedom to imagine what he's wearing.. or not
The third pose, coming from my first idea for this entry, was very  loosely based on Victor Defin's statue * The kiss *: www.morguefile.com/archive/dis… , as one of the subjects offered was drawing them in the pose of a classical painting or sculpture. Too late I realized there's a difference between sculpture and classical sculpture, but I kept that part still, because I adore how it was fitting in my composition
